Fixed Extinguisher System

This will be a deferred plan submittal.

A fixed fire extinguishing/suppression system are commonly used to protect areas containing valuable or critical equipment such as data processing rooms, telecommunication switches, and process control rooms. Also, cooking foods that create grease laden vapors requires a Type I Hood with a fixed suppression system.

After approval, you can pay fees online from your ePermits account.Once fees are paid you can download the approved plans and print out a paper copy of the permit.Please post the permit fully visible on project site and have a paper copy of the approved plans onsite during construction.

HARRIS COUNTY FIXED EXTINGUISHER SYSTEM PLAN SUBMITTAL CHECKLIST

  • Name of owner and/or occupant per Harris County permit
  • Location, including correct street address (HC permit & plan addresses must match)
  • Name, address, and phone number of the installing company
  • Name, address, and phone number of PE or planner if different than installing company
  • Size, length, and arrangement of connected piping
  • Description and location of nozzles
  • Location and function of detection devices, operating devices, auxiliary equipment, and electrical
  • Indicated hazard to be protected and include such information as physical dimensions, cooking appliances, energy sources for each appliance, and air-handling equipment.
  • Hydraulic Calculations, for other than pre-engineered system
