  • All plans must be reviewed prior to the permits being issued and completed. The Certificate of Compliance is the last item you will receive for your commercial permit.

This is an application to receive a Certificate of Compliance from the Harris County Permits Office. 

Certificate of Compliance 

A Certificate of Compliance is required for businesses to operate in Harris County, and it is only issued to commercial structures that require a Fire Marshal’s inspection. 

To receive a Certificate of Compliance your project must have:

  • No open violations
  • All applicable inspections completed and passed
  • All required permits closed out, including Civil Site Development, Stormwater Quality, Right-of-Way, and any other related permits
  • Must have passed the Fire Marshal’s inspection

Once you receive the Certificate of Compliance, please sign it and place it in a location on the wall of your business where it can be seen by the public.
