Corridor Study - Aldine Mail Route From Airline Road to Easthampton Drive

This corridor study focuses on Aldine Mail Route from Airline Road to Easthampton Drive in Precinct 2 to enhance transportation safety and gather community feedback. The study follows the principles of Precinct 2’s Revive2Thrive initiative, aiming to strengthen community bonds and create opportunities for neighborhoods to become more resilient and flourishing.

Corridor Study - Spencer Hwy From IH45 to SH146

This corridor study focuses on Spencer Hwy from IH45 to SH146 in Precinct 2 to enhance transportation safety and gather community feedback. The study follows the principles of Precinct 2’s Revive2Thrive initiative, aiming to strengthen community bonds and create opportunities for neighborhoods to become more resilient and prosperous.

Parks Safety and Accessibility Study (Countywide)

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires counties to complete an access audit of all existing sites and site assets. The on-going Harris County Parks Safety and ADA Accessibility Study is auditing parks and park assets, including restrooms, shelters, trails within parks, and similar assets; and will produce a Parks Barrier Removal Plan, based on the requirements of the ADA regulation published by the Department of Justice.

This corridor study focuses on Sheldon Road from Bear Bayou to Market Street to improve transportation safety and seek community input in Precinct 2. The study incorporates the principles established in the Precinct 2’s Revive2Thrive initiative, where the focus is on revitalization by empowering community and creating opportunities for neighborhoods to be more resilient, inclusive, and thriving.

Corridor Study - W. Mount Houston Road & Airline Drive

This corridor study focuses on W. Mount Houston Road and Airline Drive in Precinct 2 to improve transportation safety and seek community input. The study incorporates the principles established in Precinct 2’s Revive2Thrive initiative, where the focus is on revitalization rather than gentrification by empowering community and creating opportunities for neighborhoods to be more resilient, inclusive, and thriving.

East Spring Branch Community Plan

This planning effort will generate a shared vision that strives to enhance the quality of life for all residents, foster economic growth, promote educational opportunities, ensure access to healthcare services, improve transportation and mobility options, preserve the unique character of the neighborhood, prioritize safety, and provide well-maintained parks and recreational spaces. The final plan will create a set of prioritized list of projects, policies, and program recommendations to support the aspirational values of the area's communities seeking to improve quality of life, livability, and economic opportunity. Harris County 2050 Flood Resilience Plan (Countywide)

In 2020 Harris County Commissioners Court created the Community Flood Resilience Task Force (CFRTF), to bring more community voice into resiliency planning efforts. The CFRTF is composed of community representatives and subject-matter experts working to promote equitable, innovative, and nature-based solutions to building flood resilience. The CFRTF is working on the development and implementation of Harris County’s short- and long-term flood resilience efforts, including the Harris County 2050 Flood Resilience Plan. Katy East Community Plan & Mobility Study

The goal of Katy East Community Plan is to identify needs and recommendations focused on improving economic development, resilience, housing, placemaking, public safety/services, public health, and quality of life for residents in neighborhoods within the study area in Precinct 4. The effort will also include a mobility study to assess issues in land uses and trip generation, traffic operations, future travel demand, active transportation networks, and prioritization of transportation improvements. Burnett Bayland Park Master Plan and Community Connectivity Plan

Bayland Park Master plan will develop recommended improvements in the existing Bayland Park on Bissonnet Street in Precinct 4. The master plan will provide strategies for creating an inclusive park with improved facilities, programming, and connectivity to better serve the active and passive recreational and open space needs of the community. For more information, visit: 2024 Burnett Bayland Park Master Plan

Healthy Parks Plan

A parks masterplan is under development for Precinct 4, to provide a data-driven examination of park need, programming, and quality. The plan will be addressing Park prioritization through an analysis of socioeconomic vulnerability, environmental vulnerability, community health, and park accessibility. Community Monuments Study

The study will conduct stakeholder and public engagement and develop designs for community monuments at various locations in Precinct 2.

Corridor Study - Tomball Study Area

This project consists of a Corridor Study of selective Major Thoroughfares in Precinct 4; within the Tomball Area Limits (south of Farm to Market 2920, west of State Highway 249, north of Boudreaux Road, and east of Teige Road). The study is to determine a projects improvements ranking order of magnitude and benefit to the communities in a phasing plan.

2020 Harris County Transportation Plan (Countywide)

The Harris County Transportation Master Plan is a comprehensive, long-term document that guides transportation projects, programs, policies in the unincorporated Harris County until 2050. This plan encompasses transportation safety, Multimodal Transportation Plan, equity in transportation, and resiliency, addressing all aspects of the county's transportation system. The plan will provide a strategic vision to address mobility needs of the county through collaborative planning process.

This corridor study focuses on Veteran’s Memorial Drive & Fallbrook Drive in Precinct 2 to enhance transportation safety and gather community feedback. The study follows the principles of Precinct 2’s Revive2Thrive initiative, aiming to strengthen community bonds and create opportunities for neighborhoods to become more resilient and dynamic.
