There is no charge for our services.
We do not accept these items. If the items are in good condition, please call the City of Houston ReUse Warehouse at 281.814.3324. If they are not reusable, contact your closest landfill for information. If you live in Precincts 1, 2 or 4, they have a heavy trash location their residents may use. You can go to their websites for that information.
We can accept over the counter medications. Your prescription medications may be disposed at one of the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA) events that are conducted in the spring and fall. Check their website for local 24 hour locations that accept these items at DEA's Diversion website or call the Texas office at 210-442-5600 for information on their collections.
You can go to Earth911, or Recycle Info for information on recycling. These services are usually provided to residents of unincorporated Harris County by the HOA or water provider. Please contact them to see if you have door to door recycling services.
Texas Recycles TVs Program, Texas Recycles Computers Program, Earth911, or Recycle Info to find the closest location where you can take your E-Cycling. You can also go to the internet and ask, “Where can I recycle _________ in Houston?”. You may want to call the company first to make sure they accept the size and type item you are bringing and confirm their hours of operation.
No – but you may bring your neighbor’s materials or a relative’s materials with you as long as it fits in your vehicle.
We are not allowed to accept waste from businesses and items that are non-residential related. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Small Business Assistance has prepared a document on local vendors that can assist with hazardous waste disposal. You may download this publication by clicking HERE. Please go to Region 12, and then to Harris County to locate a vendor who can properly dispose of your Class 1 waste.
Currently, all residents of the incorporated City of Houston area must utilize one of the City of Houston facilities. You may find information about their facilities at  Environmental Services Centers.
