Public Damage assessment teams inspect bridges and any reported damages. The teams work with the precincts to develop a repair plan and may oversee the project during design and construction.

Additionally, the Department maintains remote monitoring capabilities for all approximately 1,100 traffic signals and 1,800 school zone flashers throughout unincorporated Harris County. This system enables us to promptly identify when any signals or flashers go offline, allowing us to prioritize assessment and repair of individual units as needed
