The Special Projects and Programs Team within the Technical Services Division under the Design Services Group is an integral part of the division that is responsible for managing and overseeing a diverse range of projects and initiatives. Its primary responsibilities include providing engineering support to various County departments such as the Precincts, Housing and Community Development, Sheriff’s Office, and many more. This support encompasses managing, designing, and developing civil construction and tender documents for a multitude of projects.

Additionally, Special Projects is actively involved in programs such as the Harris County Single Family New Construction Program and the Outfall Repair & Replacement Program. Through its diverse portfolio, Special Projects plays a vital role in driving forward key initiatives that enhance infrastructure, strengthen communities, and contribute overall prosperity within Harris County.
