The Harris County Survey Group provides professional surveying services for the Office of the County Engineer projects and other county agencies. General responsibilities include performing field survey work, data processing, analysis, mapping, deed, and map research within the Harris County Clerk's files.

The survey group researches many other Harris County archives, writing metes, bounds, and other legal descriptions, while providing survey specific professional consulting and metric reporting, in addition to coordination with Office of the County Engineer Project Managers and other County agencies.
